In a world of co-existence and co-creation solitude is never an option, thus we wander in the world trying to pair with our best fit. This of course is not an easy task because first one has to date a person to know them.
Blogger Nobuhle Natasha Nyoni, graduated to Author this April when she self published her debut offering "The Kings That Didn't Need This Queen" .
I intentionally reserved the review for her birthday though I was honoured to read it on its release. More a gift, to compliment the her gift in writing.
It is an easy read, very brief chapters of recollections of different romantic relationships she has had and how they modified her psyche and outlook on reality. The message in the book is coherent, useful and based on reality though I wish the book were more detailed.
I do not mean to say, detailed for the sake of compensating for length but rather, detailed for a broader perspective on the issues she aired. However I guess the short form structure she opted for works well in our current attention economy. People don't have time to read one book for weeks.
Given that these are issues everyone deals with, her short form also opens up the conversation for others to create discussions and fill in the gaps. Perhaps she can create a tribe out of readers and ask them to share which parts relate to them and also share their stories.
It is another way the potential of the book can be expanded on.
For the most part I found it relatable because though she went trhrough certain things and they may seem as experiences relatable to girls, as a man I have also gone through some of the things in my own way. Thus, this is not a book that only women can relate to but it's about the human experience in the dark corridors of love.
You would also probably find it useful to read up on the 4 attachment styles before or after this book and just have a little fun identifying the different attachment styles of the characters including that of the author.
The book is available for you to buy via this link.
